The tree lighting of the largest FREE holiday lights display in North Texas is moving up a week to Saturday, Nov. 18. Santa will “flip the switch” at 6 p.m. that night to turn on more than 1.5 million sparkling LED lights wrapped around 555 trees. That means we’ll have six extra days to enjoy the magic that is Vitruvian Lights!
Approximately 100 voices from the Dallas-based men’s choir Vocal Majority will be on hand to provide live entertainment for guests throughout the evening. This will be the choir’s first performance at Vitruvian Lights, and it’s a rare chance to see them perform for free.
The tree lighting also will feature food trucks and vendors, FREE photos with Santa, live reindeer, letters to Santa, holiday characters, Mrs. Claus, an elf balloon artist and more from 6-10 p.m.
A second special event, on Saturday, Nov. 25, will feature entertainment by Vitruvian Lights veteran Jordan Kahn Orchestra, plus all the holiday-themed activities that take place at the tree lighting. That event also runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
Once the switch has been flipped, these dazzling lights will be on nightly through Monday, Jan. 1 from 5 to 11 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to walk or drive through Vitruvian Park to enjoy the beauty of Vitruvian Lights, sponsored by UDR and the Town of Addison.
Parking ($15, cash only) is available onsite in lots on Bella Lane and Ponte Avenue, as well as at the Alfred J. Loos Sports Complex.
