Show Off Your Creativity and Enter Your Artwork Into The Dart Silver Line Pin Contest
DART invites students to create an artwork that celebrates your community along the DART Silver Line that connects ten (10) DART stations across the DFW area. Unique contest entries that best represent the community surrounding each DART Silver Line station will be selected by DART for a total of ten (10) Contest winners.
Contest Rules
- Contestant Eligibility. Contest is open to all students in grades 6th through 12th that attend school either online, in person, or are homeschooled. Immediate family members of DART employees and DART contractors and agents are not eligible. Limit one (1) entry per student. No group entries are allowed.
- Contest Entry Requirements. Each Contestant entry must be an original work created by the eligible Contestant and should creatively interpret the theme, “Stops & Stories – Your Art. The Silver Line’s Stories”.
Entry Theme. Each Contestant is asked to depict one (1) of the Silver Line stations listed below and how it affects or is representative of their community/city:
- DFW Airport Terminal B – DFW Airport
- DFW Airport North Station – Grapevine
- Cypress Waters Station – Coppell
- Downtown Carrolton Station – Carrollton
- Addison Station – Addison
- Knoll Trail Station – North Dallas
- UT Dallas Station – Richardson
- CityLine/Bush Station – Richardson
- 12th Street Station – Plano
- Shiloh Road Station – Plano
Contestant must incorporate their chosen Silver Line city and/or station into their entry design in some way. Examples could include using a DART Silver Line vehicle, a DART transit center, and/or the word “SILVER LINE” in their artwork.
Entry Instructions. The design should be laid out as a square on a 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper, and students should consider the finished pin size (1.5” x 1.5”) when creating their entries. Contestant may use multiple colors of their choice. Entries should be submitted on heavy paper, such as poster, tag or illustration board. Acceptable media on entries include crayons, paint, markers, colored pencils and digital art.
- Each entry must include a two to three sentence summary describing the Contestant (ex: where they live, hobbies, etc.) and their interpretation of the Contest.
- Each entry must include a completed and signed Contest entry form (found at DART.org/Silver Line Contest to be completed by the Contestant’s parent or authorized legal guardian). A completed and signed Contest entry form must be affixed to the back of Contestant’s submitted entry to DART.
- All Contestant entries must be mailed or delivered in person. Online submissions will not be accepted. Completed entries may be picked up by DART staff, if requested and subject to DART staffing availability. Contestants are responsible for delivering their own Contest entries. Completed entries must arrive at the address below no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. If any submitted Contest entries are received by DART after 5pm on April 30, 2025, they will be deemed disqualified from the Contest.

Hand-delivered entries should be directed to DART Headquarters (Attention: Carlos Huerta), located at 1401 Pacific Ave., Dallas, TX 75202. Turn in entries at the security desk on the first floor.
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 by 5:00 PM – All Contest entries must be received by deadline.
DART will notify the parents of the Contest winners no later than Friday, May 23, 2025.
All artwork becomes the property of DART and may be used with appropriate credit to the artist. By entering the contest and submitting a completed Contest entry form, you consent to have your name and photograph appear as one of the winners.
Artwork will remain the property of DART after the contest’s conclusion. No artwork will be returned to the Contestant, Contestant’s parent or teacher.
