Ida Claire Crawfish Boil

A long-time tradition of families around Louisiana, the Crawfish Boil is a celebration of Spring and food. Of course, as Crawfish season nears, the traditional Crawfish Boils will be taking place all around us. From Native Americans like the Choctaw band Shatje-ohla (crawfish people), Louisianans have enjoyed Crawfish for many years. The Crawfish Boil is a simple but delicious way to enjoy the “mudbugs.” The Crawfish are dropped into a stockpot of boiling seasoned water along with corn, red potatoes, and halved lemons as well as onions and sausage.
