Glossy Lips

Glossy lips have been famous for years, and it’s not hard to see why. Dewy and glazed, glossy lips look flattering and feel fresh and light on your lips. It’s also incredibly easy to recreate this classic look, with just a few steps to follow. Keep scrolling for our tips, as well as our favorite lip products.

How to Get Glassy Lips

  1. Use a Damp Towel to Exfoliate Your Lips. Use a damp towel or lip scrub to exfoliate your lips lightly to get a smooth finish. This helps keep lips free of dead skin and flakes, especially in winter.
  2. Moisturize Plenty. Similarly to moisturizing your skin before applying foundation, it would be best to hydrate your lips. Smooth on a hydrating balm or plumping treatment to lock it in.
  3. Layer on the Lip Gloss. Once you’ve exfoliated and coated your lips with hydration, it’s time to add color. Apply a lip gloss by starting at the center of your lower lip and working to the outer edges. The same technique applies to your upper lip. This will help you achieve the look you’re looking for, whether glam or natural.
  4. Reach for a shade that offers a natural look to imitate a glass appearance. Glossy Lips

*If you really want to highlight a certain lip color, apply a layer of lipstick first, then add a layer of clear or tinted lip gloss. This will make your lip color pop. On the other hand, if you want to imitate a glass appearance, reach for a shade that offers a natural look. Lighter shades give a more natural, glass-like finish, while darker shades can add drama and intensity.
