#1. Thirsty Lion

Thirsty Lion Gastropub recently opened in the North Dallas Corridor and is a hot spot for Happy Hour. Thirsty Lion celebrates Happy Hour every day from 3 PM to 6 PM, with special discounts on pints, cocktails, wine, and food, starting at $7.95. On Fridays and Saturdays, an additional Late Night Happy Hour runs from 9 PM until 11 PM.

#2. Vitruvian Park Tavern

3870 Ponte Ave., Suite 150, Addison, TX 75001

With a friendly neighborhood feel and an extensive whiskey list, Vitruvian Park Tavern is a must-visit. This restaurant and bar located in Vitruvian Park is the perfect spot for happy hour with coworkers, or to bring a date to impress them with the collection of house cocktails, Scotch and Bourbon, and wine. The bar also offers a rotating frozen drink and views of the surrounding park and trails. Their food menu features shareable items like beef empanadas, hummus, and onion dip to share with your group. The kitchen is open from 2 pm – 10 pm daily, and the bar stays open until midnight.

On chilly days, Southern comfort food is a go-to. Ida Claire is known for its Southern comfort classics, including chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, and Nashville hot chicken. Vegetarians can indulge in Nashville cauliflower, the meat-free version of their hot chicken. Stop by for dinner until 10 pm, or get in as early as 9 am on the weekends for their brunch menu.

Asian Mint is the taste that Addison has been looking for! Their menu features savory noodle dishes, spicy curries, and lighter soups and salads. “Stop by and let your palate travel to heaven with our Pad Thai offerings, Sea Bass, or our lighter fare, Asian Noodle Salad.” The Sea Bass is a standout menu item. Wild-caught sea bass is prepared with a lime ginger soy marinade and served with broccoli, bok choy, mushroom, and red bell pepper. The appetizers are smaller bites that are perfect to share. If you can’t decide, just try the Mint Platter with grilled chicken satay, fresh chicken summer roll, fried vegetable egg roll, and steamed dumplings.

#5. Nate’s Seafood & Steakhouse

Come for the Crawfish and stay for the live music every Thursday and Sunday at Nate’s Seafood! Thursdays feature a rotating live blues artist starting at 7:00 pm, and Sundays are an open mic. Just show up with your instrument between 7pm and 11 pm, and ask to be added to the schedule! While jamming to the blues, enjoy a $3 Pacifico or Heineken bottle, or a $3 Modelo pint on Sundays and Thursdays.

#6. ANN at WaterTower Theatre7 Things to Do This Week 2/21 - 2/25

WaterTower Theatre is proud to present ANN, a one-person play honoring the late Ann Richards, a legendary governor of Texas. This inspiring and hilarious play will run from February 14th through February 25th, so don’t miss your chance to see this play right here in Addison. #7. Galleria Ice Skating Center

13350 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75240

Spend the day ice skating at the Galleria Ice Skating Center! This rink located in the heart of the Galleria Dallas Mall welcomes skaters of all levels, from beginners to pros, and you’ll even occasionally catch an Olympic skater showing off their skills. Hours of operation change daily, so click here to view the hours. Admission is $12, and skate rental is $5. Make sure you bring socks, because all skaters are required to wear socks with a skate rental.
