“CHAPLIN: The Musical” is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Charlie Chaplin, the man who made the world laugh as the Tramp but struggled to find happiness in his own life. This production takes us on a compelling journey through Chaplin’s entire career, from his humble beginnings as a child performer in 19th-century London to his touching acceptance of an honorary Academy Award in 1972.

Max J. Swarner, one of Dallas’ beloved actors, takes on the title role of Charlie Chaplin. He has expressed palpable enthusiasm while sharing his excitement for this production.

“I am immensely honored to take on the title role in this beautiful musical on the life of the legendary Charlie Chaplin, a complex and deeply human man whose off-screen persona is even more fascinating than the characters he vibrantly brought to life on film,” Swarner said. “Shane Peterman, Vonda Bowling, Ann Nieman, and Elizabeth Kensek have assembled an incredibly talented cast and crew for this massive production, and it is a privilege to share the stage with such wonderful artists and musicians. We cannot wait to share this exciting musical with our audiences!”
