Spectacular Skate Show at Galleria Dallas

Each year, thousands of North Texans visit Galleria Dallas to see the nation’s tallest indoor Christmas tree and the holiday skate shows that surround it, which feature Olympic and World Champion figure skaters as well as youth skaters. This holiday season will be even more spectacular, with the addition of new LED lighting by Twinkly on the Christmas tree that will allow for brilliant, animated and immersive light shows on the tree. The tree is displayed at its best during the two free ice-skating shows that will be open to the public on Nov. 24 and 25, and two ticketed private shows will benefit area charities on Dec. 3 and 10.

On Black Friday, which falls this year on Nov. 24, shoppers flock to Galleria Dallas to enjoy the abundance of sales and promotions offered by its more than 200 shops and restaurants. Holiday festivities kick off at noon on Black Friday with the impressive Grand Tree Lighting Celebration, which features a spectacular ice-skating show with U.S. national champion, Olympic and world team member Ashley Cain and pairs skaters Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, who won a Silver medal in the 2022 Olympics. The celebration concludes with a

fireworks finale as the tree is lit by Missile Toes, Galleria’s famed ice-skating, back-flipping, pyrotechnic Santa. The show will be presented again Saturday, Nov. 25 at noon.

For the fourth year in a row, Galleria Dallas will help guests avoid the crowds for not one but two phenomenal Grand Holiday Ice Shows that take place outside shopping center hours. In addition to a roster of internationally recognized figure skaters, these shows also feature youth skaters from Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center, a tree lighting and an appearance by Missile Toes. Grand Holiday Ice Shows also feature balloon artists creating balloon animals for kids, face painters, a coffee and hot chocolate station and a holiday performance.

“We are excited to be able to host four ice skating shows around our iconic Christmas tree this holiday season and can’t wait to see how the new Twinkly lights on the tree enhance our guests’ experience,” said Megan Townsend, director of marketing and partnerships for Galleria Dallas. “We are also extremely grateful to be able to help local nonprofits raise much-needed funds during the holidays with our two Grand Holiday Ice Shows.”
