Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween Costume IdeasOctober is here, which means it’s time for the year’s spookiest season. Pumpkin spice, sweet candy, cooler weather, and lots of fun costumes will soon be everywhere. If you are still unsure what you want to wear, here are some excellent Halloween costume ideas.

Cowgirl Barbie

Of course, the year’s most prominent movie is at the top of our list for Halloween costumes. While you could dress up as roller-skater Barbie (and many will), we’re partial to the Cowgirl Barbie outfit. It’s a perfect mix of Barbiecore, western, and 70’s disco. There are some excellent options for the outfit at both Spirit Halloween and Party City, and you can buy the other pieces, such as the stylish pink cowboy boots, a pink bandana, and a classic white hat.

Wednesday Addams

Wednesday Addams has long been a popular character in pop culture, and that’s only amplified with the release of the hit show, Wednesday. Played immaculately by Jenny Ortega, expect to see plenty of girls and women walking around dressed as the iconic character. You’ll need a lace black dress, a pair of clunky loafers, and your hair in long, dark braids for this look. For the hair, you can either dye your hair and braid it (if it’s long enough) or buy a black braided wig from Amazon.

A Swiftie from the Eras Tour

Pay tribute to the biggest concert of the year by dressing up in your favorite era from Taylor Swift. There’s a fringe dress from Fearless, a ruffled, embroidered dress from Speak Now, a black fedora, red lipstick, and sassy t-shirt from Red, the retro and bling of , the black tights and snake shirt from Reputation, the bubblegum pop tones of Lover, a flowy, etheral dress from Folklore, the casual corduroy of Evermore, or the stars and glitter of Midnights; take your pick!

Ariel from The Little Mermaid

With the release of the live-action The Little Mermaid earlier this year, there are going to be many mermaids swimming around this Halloween. Recreate her iconic look with a seashell bra/bikini top, a sequin, mermaid tail skirt, starfish hair clips, and a plush Flounder or Sebastian to carry around. If your little one wants to dress up as Ariel, consider purchasing a pre-made costume from Spirit Halloween.
