Get Your Dream Brows

Your eyebrows are an extremely important part of your face; their style can significantly change your appearance. When shaped correctly, eyebrows suit your face and can give your face the appearance of an instant facelift. However, eyebrows incorrectly shaped can accentuate features you don’t want to be highlighted. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you get the fullest, shapeliest eyebrows of your dreams.

Cleaning and NourishmentGet Your Dream Brows

Like your skin, keeping your brows clean is essential to healthy growth and appearance. Use a cleanser or eye makeup remover to ensure the area is oil-free. Removing impurities like dead skin cells and oils allows the hair to breathe and active ingredients in your products to penetrate the pores better. You can stimulate hair growth with an eyebrow serum rich in vitamins and antioxidants to make hairs fuller and thicker or a brow conditioner to strengthen and moisturize the hair.

Find the Right Products

Regardless of what you’re looking to achieve with your eyebrows, there are a few tools that everyone needs to have. These include a high-quality pair of tweezers, an angled brush to shape your hairs, precision scissors to trim any extra-long hairs, and a brow pencil or powder to fill any sparse spots.

Eyebrow Shaping

When shaping your eyebrows, it’s crucial to groom them so that they do not interfere with your face’s natural look and shape. Stay true to your natural line while simultaneously checking the overall look. A good rule of thumb is that two-thirds of the eyebrows should rise, and the last third should fall slightly. You can also use an eyebrow pencil to identify your brows’ three landmarks: the starting point, the highest point, and the end point.

The ideal starting point is where the pencil meets the eyebrow. Place the pencil vertically against the wing of your nose to find it. To locate the highest brow point, keep the pencil touching the wing of the nose, with the tip pointing to the upper edge of the brow, rotating the pencil until it reaches the center of the pupil. Continue turning the pencil the same way until you reach the eye’s outer corner. This is the end point of your brow.

Eyebrow Services

There are various eyebrow services to choose from, depending on your specific needs. These include trimming, tweezing, waxing, threading, microblading, brow tinting, and brow lamination. Trimming and tweezing brows clean up and shorten the hairs. When done correctly, waxing is a way to soften the pores and remove the hair without breakage. Threading is an old-fashioned hair removal technique that rolls two cotton pieces of thread over the skin’s surface, driving unwanted hair out of the follicle. Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup used to fill the brow. Brow tinting is the process of coloring the brow hair with a vegetable-based dye to make it appear fuller. Brow lamination is a treatment that relaxes and straightens the brow hair, allowing the brow to be styled in various ways such as sleek, straight, arched, or fluffy.

When in Doubt, Consult an Expert
