Taylor’s passion for architecture, design, and real estate began in his childhood years in Brenham, Texas. Growing up in a family of custom home builders, Taylor played sidekick to his dad, learning every facet of quality home construction and remodeling. This early exposure ignited his interest in the industry and paved the way for his successful career.
After attending the University of Houston and earning a degree in Biomedical Technology, Taylor returned to his family’s business and helped expand it into the Houston market by buying vacant lots and building new homes. This experience ultimately inspired him to obtain his real estate license, and he has been successfully marketing and selling homes ever since.
Taylor and his business partner, Sid Thom, established the Pressley + Matthews Team at Ebby Halliday Realtors based on their shared values and dedication to excellence. The team is committed to maintaining a culture of professionalism, integrity, and innovation. Additionally, they believe in providing exceptional service to their clients, industry, and communities through their guiding principles of education, engagement, and advocacy.
Taylor is actively involved in the real estate industry, serving at his local, state, and national Realtor associations. He served as the 2022 President of the MetroTex Association of
REALTORS, the fifth largest Realtor association in the country with over 26,000 members. Taylor is also a Regional Vice President for Texas Realtors, as well as the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Colin Allred. Taylor’s expertise and dedication have earned him several accolades, including being named one of the Top 11 Texas Realtors to Watch in 2017, being named the MetroTex Realtor of the Year in 2019, and being voted Favorite Residential Real Estate Broker by Addison Magazine Readers.
Sid is also very active in the real estate industry and serves as a Regional Vice President for Texas Realtors and as a Director for the National Association of Realtors. Sid was awarded the MetroTex Realtor of the Year in 2018.
In addition to their dedication to the industry, Taylor and Sid are committed to continually improving their skills and knowledge in order to better serve their clients. Taylor holds a Brokers License and is a Certified Residential Specialist, a distinction that fewer than 3% of all real estate professionals hold. These designations demonstrate his expertise and commitment to providing top-notch service to his clients. Similarly, Sid is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, showing his dedication to providing value to clients in the luxury market. Both Taylor and Sid believe that education is crucial to success in real estate and they are committed to continually learning and improving their craft.
Together, Taylor and Sid specialize in North Dallas real estate, living and working in the North Dallas Corridor and Addison where they have a deep understanding of the local market. They are both Prestonwood residents and can often be found hanging out at Hillcrest Village Green, one of the many fantastic establishments in Addison, or at Brookhaven Country Club.
When not serving their clients, Taylor and Sid enjoy traveling, cooking, entertaining, spending time with family and friends, and their new obsession-playing Pickleball!
