On Monday, March 13, Abby Morales officially takes the reins as Addison’s Special Events Director. Morales has an impressive background in the events field with more than 15 years of experience including stints with several iconic North Texas festivals.
Morales will direct all activities, staff, budgets, and operations of the Special Events Department and the Conference and Theatre Centre. Additionally, she will provide vision and oversight for the execution of all festivals and events produced by, or associated with, the Town of Addison. Morales previously served as Grapevine’s Sponsorship Sales Manager, as the Director-Client Services for the American Heart Association, and as the City of Richardson’s Corporate Recreation Manager. She earned her Master of Education at Texas State University and her Bachelor of Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She brings skills in project/events management, dynamic customer service, sales, strategic planning, and relationship building.
Special Events Manager Yesenia Saldivar has been serving as the interim director of the department for the past eight months. Many thanks to Yesenia for her leadership and direction.
