As mid-August approaches us, Vitruvian Nights Live wraps its free summer concert series. If you have missed the first of the series, don’t worry. You still have one more chance this Thursday, August 11, when Vitruvian Nights Live will host their final concert of the season. Le Freak, the world-renowned and Dallas-based disco band, will be the featured talent on this closing night. You can enjoy their performance at the Vitruvian Park Amphitheater from 7:00-9:30pm.
Vitruvian Nights Live is one of many destinations for the celebrated Le Freak this season. Let’s take a moment and get to know the unstoppable members of “the greatest disco band in the world.” You’ll hear a range of vocals from every member of the band. Leading the group’s lyrics, we have Minnesota’ Soda’ Mick James; on the guitar, there is Marvin “Cupcake” Jackson-Osmond; behind the drums will be Bo Bandit; lastly, on bass is Curly “the Package” Brown.
Popular songs by Le Freak include “Funky Town,” “I Will Survive,” “Hot Stuff,” “Stayin’ Alive,” and “Car Wash.” Expect to enjoy these amongst their many other hits in this Thursday’s performance. They will surely provide an unforgettable night, so prepare for hours filled with singing and dancing along to these music sensations.
Vitruvian Nights Live does not stop their fun at the live performance. Vitruvian Park has you covered if you’re craving a picnic at sunset, as they provide food and refreshments at their onsite food truck. If you’re looking to let loose a little, you’re in luck because there will be various outdoor games at your fingertips. What better way to spend a midsummer Thursday night with your family, friends, or pets?
Going to Vitruvian Nights Live is not at all a hassle because the concert and games are free to those who partake in the event. You can enjoy all of this fun with as much company as you’d like, at no cost (except for the food trucks!).
Free event parking is available onsite at Vitruvian Park in the Bella Lane & Ponte Avenue parking lots. Look for signage on Vitruvian Way to lead you to these designated locations; parking at the Bella Lane parking lot is subject to change conditional to construction.
