Where to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Where to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with all your favorite Mexican dishes and drinks!

We are inching closer and closer to one of our favorite days, Cinco de Mayo. While this might not be an official holiday; that is not going to stop us from taking the time to celebrate with amazing food and drinks in Addison. With beautiful weather arriving, it is the perfect time to visit your favorite Addison restaurant patio and celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Let me start by suggesting a visit to El Rincón in Addison Circle. A family-owned restaurant that serves delicious authentic Mexican food and features a great drink menu. This Cinco de Mayo they will have $5 House Margaritas and $3 Draft Beers all day as well as Happy Hour from 3 to 7 p.m. and $10 Tres Generaciones Top Shelf Margaritas. Make sure to try out their Queso Cargado! Check out their full menu online at www.elrincontx.com

For delicious Tex-Mex and award-winning Margaritas, look no further than Gloria’s at the Village on the Parkway. Gloria’s has an amazing all-weather patio and plenty of room for you to bring your friends along. Their Margarita menu is extensive and their House Margarita recently won an award for “Best Margarita in DFW.” www.gloriascuisine.com

“Get Ready for Fiesta Fever” is Cantina Laredo’s tag for Cinco de Mayo. They will be featuring their new Fiesta Fever Cocktails! To give you a preview, here they are. The Watermelon Basil Paloma is made with Corralejo Blanco Tequila, Finest Call Watermelon Puree, basil, fresh lime juice, and Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit. The Yuzu Ranch Water is made with Hornitos Plata Tequila, Fever-Tree Sparkling Lime, and Yuzu. Finally, the Espolón Cantina Mule has Espolón Blanco Tequila, fresh lime juice, and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer. www.cantinalaredo.com

Chuy’s has brought back one of my favorite dishes of all time, The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo and it is the perfect meal for Cinco de Mayo. “A seasoned ground beef enchilada with Tex-Mex Sauce, chicken enchilada with Tomatillo Sauce, cheese enchilada with Ranchero Sauce, crispy taco & homemade tostada chips dipped in queso.” It’s so much food, but oh so good! Pair it with their delicious and refreshing frozen margaritas and you are set! www.chuys.com
