“Nights under the stars in Addison have never been better! Grab your friends, family, or four-legged buddy and head to Addison Circle Park for free fun, fabulous food trucks, and an evening to remember.
Addison After Dark is a free event that happens every third Saturday from April to November at 7 p.m. this year it kicks off April 16 with Fiesta Noche. “This Easter weekend Addison After Dark brings Rio Carnival to Texas with samba dancers & lessons, elaborate costumes, a live fire show, and free exotic petting zoo.” Come hang out with friends and family during this fun and entertaining event put on by Addison for the community.
The night will kick off at 7 p.m. with Samba Friends. Get ready to start the night off dancing to a different beat. “Brazilian music with spices of reggae, classical, jazz improvisation, folk-styled melodies, Uruguayan candombe, and splashes of pop. The six-member band, along with special guests, deliver a sublime album, with every tune a pure delight of lyricism and percussive rhythms.” You will not be able to sit still as the band kicks off the evening, the music is catchy and before you know it you will find yourself on the dance floor having a great time!
Take a Samba dancing lesson from United Dance Academy at 7:45 p.m. and learn how to Samba like the pros! United Dance Academy is the leading academy for Brazilian Samba lessons in the city and they will be out at Fiesta Noche teaching us how to Samba! So, if you have ever wanted to learn how to Samba, this is your chance to learn from the best or if you are a seasoned dancer, you might still pick up a new move or two.
How about a fire show to end the evening? Make sure to have your phone ready to capture and post the amazing fire show happening at 8:45! You cannot beat ending the night with a fire show! Whether you have seen a fire show before or not, it is a whole experience that never gets old.
Along with the amazing entertainment planned for the night, there will also be a Mercado (Market) where you can pick up some really cool souvenirs! There will be different vendors onsite like Beautiful Fun Foods by Infinite, FASGOT Events and Entertainment Toys, SM Fashions, CutiCouture Hair Accessories, Craftystore T-shirts & Gifts, and YHOAKI Artisanal Goods. Support these vendors and pick up some gifts for friends or yourself.
We all know an event like this is going to feature some amazing food, right? I know I’m always looking at the lineup of food vendors when it comes to festivals and special events. It’s a great way to sample food that you may not have had before. Well, make sure you come hungry and ready to check out all the different food trucks that will be onsite.
El Chifijo Food Truck – Puerto Rican Fusion featuring street tacos, Puerto Rican empanadas, fried plantains, and other delicious Puerto Rican dishes.
Sonoran Queen – Sonoran Style Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs, “Simply put, it’s a hot dog in the form of authentic Mexican street food. It’s a one-of-a-kind, freshly baked artisanal, warmed and steamed bun, cradling a juicy bacon-wrapped hot dog, blanketed with Sonoran-style beans, and topped with your favorite Mexican food & hot dog toppings.”
Street Bites – Features croissant sandwiches, tacos, Bahn Mi, and some delicious desserts.
Little Monster Snow Cones – Because you cannot have an outdoor event without snow cones! Little Monster Snow Cones will be serving up regular and Taiwanese Snow Cones. They have lots of different flavors, I’m personally looking forward to trying out the Zombie Brain flavor.
America’s Finest Beverage Catering – A Veteran owned and operated company, America’s Finest Beverage Catering will be selling beer, wine, and more.
