Local Craft Beers in the Corridor

Local Craft Beers in the CorridorMany of you are looking for a new adventure to start regardless if it is with a new job, new friends or simply exploring new locally crafted beers! If you catch yourself always giving in to the ‘same old same old’ then use this as your guide to discover greatly diverse options.

Ron’s Place

1. Buried Hatchet (Not available for Texas Tuesday) Stout – American

ABV: 8.25%   IBU:50

‘Jet-black in color and smells of coffee and chocolate. The taste has hints of creamy toffee and roasted malt. Smooth and delicious, this medium-bodied ale is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be balanced.’

2. Wise Monkeys (not available for Texas Tuesday) Belgian Strong Golden Ale

ABV:10%   IBU 30

“Wise Monkeys is a fairly true-to-style Belgian Golden Strong, and it packs a punch in a way too drinkable package. When you take a lingering sniff, you will detect a bit of fermented stone fruit, specifically peach. But don’t let the nose fool you. It has a softly perceptible sweetness that we’re calling semi-dry. The flavor isn’t going to be sugary sweet, but more of a subtle reference to the peach, pear, and bubblegum that comes through on the nose.”

The Bitter Sisters Brewery

1. Busy Body Blonde Lager: ABV 5.92%

Malt: German 2 Row Pilsner Malt, German Munich Malt

Hops: German Magnum

Yeast: Authentic German Lager Yeast

Available in: 5.16 Gallons Slim Kegs, 15 Gallon Kegs (16, 32, 64 growler & cans)

‘Tasting Notes: Brewed with authentic German Pilsner Malt and a touch of German Munich Malt, our Blonde Lager has a pale color and a slightly bready but crisp, clean taste. The use of German Magnum hops helps to balance out the sweetness from the German Malts.’

2. Cat Fight India Pale Ale

ABV 6.66%

Malt: American 2 Row, Wheat Malt, Crystal Malt

Hops: American hops from the Pacific Northwest

Yeast: American Ale Yeast

Available in: 5.16 Gallons Slim Kegs, 15 Gallon Kegs (16, 32, 64 growler & cans)

‘Tasting Notes: IPA is a bold blend of grapefruit citrus and melon that showcases American hops. The flavor and aroma are complimented by just enough bitterness to get your attention.’

3. Knock Out

ABV 8.16%

Malt: American 2 Row, Pale Chocolate Malt, Carastan Malt, Crystal Malt

Hops: English varietal hops

Yeast: American Ale Yeast

Available in: 5.16 Gallons Slim Kegs, 15 Gallon Kegs (16, 32, 64 growler & cans)

‘Tasting Notes: traditional Irish Red is a punched up ale with a perfect balance of bready, slightly toffee flavors of the malt mixed with the bitterness of traditional English hops. Authentic English caramel, dark crystal and chocolate malts along with a good amount of two row barley which kicks this traditional style up a few notches.’

3 Nations Brewing

1. Mango Smash (ABV 6.9%, IBUs 70, can/tap)

‘One malt meets six hops creating sensory overload in a can.  This tropical IPA presents a citrusy scent backed by a balanced blend of tropical fruit and hops leaving your taste buds’.

This beer is created with blood oranges and “Belguim Wit”.

These are a few options that 3 Nations Brewing offers. Up to 288 oz per person (per day) can be purchased as ‘beer-to-go’. (4 & 6 packs are available as well as growler fills. You may bring your own or purchase a 32 or 64 oz from them.

  1. Must say, quite disappointed in this article. No mention of Breaking Brew Meadery or Odd Muse Brewery. Both closer than 3 Nations for sure.
