Are you looking for weekend plans? We have you covered with lots to see and do this week in the Corridor.

Whether you’re looking for a Happy Hour or late-night dancing spot, or family-friendly activities, you’re sure to find something on this list of 7 things to do this week.

Happy Hour

7 Things to Do This Week - 1/26 - 1/30
Make a Cheers to the Weekend at Addison Ice House

Recharge after work with a Happy Hour beer this week. Here are some of our favorite spots to grab a beer and small bites while enjoying daily deals.

  1. Celebrate El Rincon Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar‘s 1st Anniversary! Thursday January 27th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM El Rincon will be hosting their grand re-opening, featuring ribbon cutting, giveaways, happy hour, and a 20% off discount. This is the perfect time to give one of their margaritas a try, including the Mexican Candy watermelon flavored margarita, or the Mangonada which includes a mango puree. Stop by this Thursday to celebrate!

2. If you’re looking for a gorgeous view while you enjoy a craft beer, Addison Ice House is your spot. Located in Vitruvian Park, the bar offers a view of the park outside and chic, industrial decor inside. Pair the local beer flight with street tacos or the Holy Trinity Plate that includes ribs, jalapeno cheddar sausage, and brisket for a true Texas experience.

Treat yourself to something sweet this week with top-rated dessert spots in the corridor.

The Cookie Monster Roll at Cinnaholic

3. Choose from dozens of toppings to create your own cinnamon roll, brownie, or cookie dough at Cinnaholic. They also offer a seasonal menu, with rotating options throughout the year. My favorite is the Cookie Monster Roll – a cinnamon roll piled high with cream cheese frosting, homemade chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce. And a bonus? Everything is made free of dairy, eggs, and cholesterol!

4. Sweets and science are combined at Creamistry, where liquid nitrogen ice cream is made-to-order for each customer. Choose your base of milk, non-dairy, or sorbet, your ice cream flavor, and toppings for a truly unique ice cream sundae.

Put your dancing shoes on and get ready to celebrate the weekend with dancing and live music.

5. The weekends are always exciting at Sherlock’s, where live bands are featured each week starting at 10 pm and continuing late into the night. On this week’s lineup, we have The Mullet Boyz on the 28th and Vegas Stars on the 29th. Come for the live music, and stay for the full bar and British-inspired eats.

6. When dinner ends, the party begins every Saturday night at Gloria’s with live music and salsa dancing! The restaurant features local Latin bands and DJ’s every week until 2 am. Grab a margarita at the bar, and bring your friends for an unforgettable night this Saturday.

Arts and Entertainment

Explore history this weekend in Addison.

7. This weekend, bring the whole family to Cavanaugh Flight Museum for a self-guided tour through airplane history in Addison. When you visit, you’ll see vintage planes and vehicles and explore the history of aviation. The museum is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm and tickets start at $6 for children and $12 for adults.
