How to Prevent the Flu this SeasonThe cold weather is approaching! Therefore, germs are more perceptible to be spread. Avoid catching the flu this season with these tips!

Wear a mask

Protect yourself from the flue and COVID-19 by wearing a mask. The flu is thought to spread by droplets that are spread through coughing, sneezing and even talking. This can be prevented by wearing a mask and protecting yourself and others.

Clean, Clean, Clean

Cleaning is a must to avoid and prevent getting the flu this season. Make sure to clean and disinfect all surfaces if you have been sick. Clean everything you touch or have contact with while at work, school or at home to prevent germs from spreading. Hand washing is also extremely important in avoiding the flu this season. Wash your hands or carry hand-sanitizer around to help keep your hands clean.

Get Vaccinated

The flu vaccination provides protection from four different influenza viruses that are most common. The vaccine helps prevent the flu and the severity of it if you were to get it. The vaccination is also available as a nasal spray. Don’t wait this winter season and get your flu shot today!

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth

If a mask is not for you, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth when you are out. This can prevent you from catching the flu. If you touch a surface that is contaminated with germs, or a person who is sick touches you then you touch your eyes, nose, or mouth your chances if getting sick get higher.

Stay at home if you are sick

Although this might be a bit hard to do, it is a must if you are sick. Prevent yourself from getting sicker and getting others sick. If you have flu-like symptoms stay home until you feel better or have a negative flu-test.  Take medicine and get yourself to feeling better before coming back to work.
