Harvest season is historically a time of gathering ripe crops and enjoying the fruits of your labor. Now, fall is a time to gather with friends and family to celebrate the drop in temperatures, the upcoming holiday season, and everything we have to be thankful for this year. You can do all this at Addison After Dark’s last event of the year: Harvest Hootenanny on Nov. 20 at Addison Circle Park!
“Celebrate fall and get your hootenanny on with live music from the Bodarks,” stated their website. “Grab a bite from a gourmet food truck, visit the petting zoo, get your airbrush tattoo and take a scenic trip on our hayride.”
Harvest Hootenanny will be a night out the entire family will enjoy. Texas musician James Lann starts the night with a live concert at 7 p.m. followed by a high-powered, genre-twisting folk performance by The Bodarks at 8 p.m. Throughout the night, guests are encouraged to take part in free activities including inflatable attractions, a petting zoo, and a hayride around the park.
If you get hungry, bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on a blanket under the stars. Or, order savory entrees from the Easy Slider or Waffle O’licious DFW food trucks, or visit one of the surrounding Addison Circle restaurants and order food to-go. America’s Finest Beverage Catering will also be onsite selling beer, wine, and the signature drink for the evening: White Wine Harvest Fruit Sangria. In true fall fashion, there will be warm cups of hot cocoa and seasonal treats like caramel apples, fudge, and toffee from Taylor’s Sweet Shop.
Taylor’s Sweet Shop offers homemade caramel apples, chocolate dipped frozen cheesecake, frozen bananas, rice krispies, marshmallows, homemade toffee, and delicious homemade fudge. These are the perfect sweet treats to enjoy on a cool fall night!
To make the most of a fun night out, dress in your favorite fall harvest attire, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and get ready for an unforgettable night in Addison! Addison’s monthly series brings a fresh perspective on themed entertainment to Addison Circle Park. Enjoy free events starting at 7 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month, April through November, except for September, when Oktoberfest takes over the park. Each month focuses on a different theme, offering fun activities, live music, popular food and dessert trucks, and specialty entertainment.
This free, family-friendly event takes place from 7-10 p.m. Nov. 20 at Addison Circle Park located at 4970 Addison Circle in Addison. This is the last Addison After Dark event of the year, so be sure to come out, bring your family, and have a great time!
