Fire is shooting out of elaborate headpieces. Axes are being thrown across a field. People are screaming during an outdoor screening of a horror film. And everyone around you is dressed in their most unique, most frightening, and coolest costumes you’ve ever seen. Halloween Horror is coming to Addison Circle Park this weekend – and you don’t want to miss it!
Halloween Horror is part of the free Addison After Dark series, highlighting unique entertainment, activities, and live music for the community. At this month’s events, costumes aren’t just for kids – everyone is encouraged to dress up and enjoy the festivities. In fact, it’s better to leave the kids at home for this creepy event, which is aimed at entertaining adults this season.
Activities include axe throwing, jumbo games, a fire art show, and an outdoor showing of the 2018 R-rated horror film, Halloween. You can also enjoy scary good drinks, free In-N-Out Burger (while supplies last), themed music, and a costume contest with amazing prizes.

The night begins with DJ McCrae performing at 7 p.m. McCrae found his passion for mixing music while working in radio for 106.1 Kiss FM in Dallas, where he later became an on-air mixer and personality for 96.7 Kiss FM and became the number one night show in Austin.
Next, the FemPyre Fire Art Show begins at 7:15 p.m. FemPyre Fire Art is a North Texas-based, all-female fire performance troupe that provides hypnotic entertainment in a variety of venues.
Class Axe will be presenting the free axe throwing from 7-9 p.m. This involves chucking a 1.5-pound wood and metal axe at a target, where experts will show you how to safely handle the axe and chuck it with accuracy. It also makes for a great stress reliever!
The costume contest begins at 8 p.m. The top 3 winners will receive valuable prizes, including the grand prize of a $100 Visa gift card. Registration is from 7-7:45 p.m., with late entries not accepted. A pair of two participants may sign up for a single spot and will only be eligible to win a single gift card. Participants must be in full costume – those with only face paint or body paint will not be accepted. Registrants must be willing to participate in onstage activities.
At 8:30 p.m., the 2018 horror film Halloween will stream, giving everyone who watches a fright. Throughout the night, you can also take pictures in the photo booth and visit the Addison Outdoors pop-up park trailer.
In-N-Out Burger will be giving free burger meals to the first 750 guests between 7-9 p.m. Don’t forget to save some room for a sweet cinnamon roll from the Cinnaholic truck onsite. There will be no other food trucks at the event, but you can grab a bite from the several restaurants nearby. America’s Finest Beverage Catering will be selling beer, wine, and their signature drink, Blood Red Sangria.

Addison After Dark events happen at 7 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month from April-November, except in September for Oktoberfest. Each month features a different themes and offers fun activities, live music, popular food and dessert trucks, and specialty entertainment.
Public parking is free and masks are encouraged for those who are not fully immunized for COVID-19.
