The English have a fantastic habit of stopping by the pub after work for a nice cold pint before they head home to start their evening. While we have many amazing choices for happy hours, one of the best places to recreate that same British experience at Ron’s Place, where you can get American Beers in an English-style pub. In fact, Ron’s Place is so good, they were nominated as the Best Place to Drink Craft Beer in our 2021 Addison – The Guide’s Readers’ Choice Awards!

“Ron’s Place features 32 craft beers (including local beers from Texas), a mouthwatering menu, and an intimate non-smoking environment that is uniquely its own,” stated its website.

The bar’s owner, Ron, was a neurologist in the military who traveled the world collecting eclectic beer paraphernalia from coasters to cans to beer signs and beer bottles, which you can admire while you’re drinking your beer here. It is designed to look like an English pub, with custom dark wood seating and a Community Table in front of a flatscreen TV.

Choose from 32 American-made craft beers of different styles as well as cans and bottles from different breweries around the world, a collection of more than 200 bottles of whiskey, and more. Specials include Texas Tuesdays, where select Texas beers are $3 a pint; Whiskey Wednesdays, where you can get $5 glasses of Whiskey all day; Friday Night Happy Hour from 11 p.m.-1 a.m.; and Saturdays with select Texas Whiskeys for $5.

To keep the party going, you can reserve a community table for a special event. Call 214-628-0634 to learn more.

Make like our friends over the pond this week by relaxing with a delicious pint after work. Then, vote for Ron’s Place in our Readers’ Choice Awards!
