It’s almost fall, which means summer concert season is coming to a close. Next Thursday, September 9, marks the final installment of Vitruvian Nights Live of the year, featuring the extremely popular Selena tribute band, Bidi Bidi Banda! You can see the show at the Vitruvian Park Amphitheater from 7-9:30 p.m.
Selena was known as the “Queen of Tejano Music” during her career. This beloved Latina artist was tragically killed by the president of her fan club in 1995, when Selena was only 23 years old. However, her memory has lived on, and new generations of Texans still adore her and her amazing music.
Popular Selena songs include “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “I Could Fall I Love,” “El Chico del Apartamento 512,” “Como la Flor,” and “La Llamada,” among others. Bidi Bidi Banda will perform many of her greatest hits in a way that honors the talented singer, and gets people up and dancing.
Vitruvian Nights Live is a free summer concert series, where guests are invited to come out and dance to live music, play outdoor games, and order food from on-site food trucks. It’s a great chance to unwind in the summer evenings, have a picnic under the stars, and meet your friends for some high-quality local entertainment.
Free parking is available onsite at Vitruvian Park in the Bella Lane and Ponte Avenue parking lots. Event parking is prohibited at communities: Addison Apartments at the Parik, Fiori, Savoye, Savoye Squared, and Vitruvian West. Attendees are also encouraged to wear face coverings if not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and follow the enhanced health and safety measures.
Celebrate the last free concert of the summer by coming to Vitruvian Park next Thursday. It’s going to be a blast!
