Celebrate International Women’s Day in the Corridor

Hang out with your girlfriends in the Corridor in honor of International Women’s Day!

Celebrate the women in your life this weekend in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8. This holiday is all about commemorating women’s achievements and increasing visibility to help forge a gender equal world. Take you mom to get pampered, take your daughter to see a fashion exhibit, or take your girlfriends out for brunch. You deserve it, friend!

Get Pampered at Grand Spa

Start your weekend by pampering yourself at Grand Spa inside Village on the Parkway. Choose one of the March specials, like the Lucky You Spa Manicure ($38) or Pedicure ($58), or the Sweet Citrus Massage ($165), which includes an 80-minute Swedish massage with scrub on the back or feet.

See an Exhibit at Galleria Dallas

Galleria Dallas is hosting two new exhibits this week! See We Are History Makers: A Century of Girl Scouts, which celebrates the accomplishments of Girl Scouts through the years and allows you to donate cookies to healthcare heroes from Children’s Health. And check out She’s Got the Look, which celebrates the beautiful fashions from the 1980s. This free exhibit includes looks from Dynasty, Charlie’s Angels and more. Both of these exhibits open March 5.

Go Shopping at Francesca’s

Buy a gift for the important women in your life (which includes you!) at Francesca’s inside Village on the Parkway. I love this white t-shirt ($28) that says, “Glass Ceilings Are Meant to be Broken” and this beautiful and important book, The Art of Feminism ($45), which features more than 350 works of art, illustration, photography, performance and graphic design, along with important feminist essays.

Eat Brunch at Vidorra

Brunch is always a good idea! Invite your girlfriends to Vidorra in Village on the Parkway this weekend for delicious food and sparkling drinks. Try the Breakfast Chimi, a flour tortilla served with chorizo, scrambled eggs, ranchero sauce, shredded cheese, jalapeno cream gravy, mixed cheese, pico de gallo and breakfast potatoes. Or, go for the Churro Toast, which is French toast rolled in cinnamon sugar and topped with powdered sugar and golden agave syrup,  then topped with fried banana slices, whipped cream and mixed berries.

No matter what you do, you’re sure to have a good time in Addison!
