Don’t miss your chance to see the red lanterns at Galleria Dallas in celebration of the Lunar New Year! Galleria Dallas is honoring the holiday with an art installation of more than 200 enormous lanterns over the shopping center’s iconic ice-skating rink to commemorate the Year of the Ox. The beautiful lantern art will be on display through March 2.
“Dallas is such a multicultural city,” said Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed in a recent press release. “Galleria Dallas is excited to share a small part in the Lunar New Year celebration this year. We’re committed to honoring our diverse, international visitor base with cultural events each year.”
There will also be a display of a colorful dragon costume hanging from the ceiling near Sephora on Level 1. The costume, supplied by the HD Lion Dance Foundation, will be on display through Feb. 28.
Upcoming exhibits at Galleria Dallas include a Girl Scout History Exhibit that celebrates Girl Scouting from 1912 to the present, March 5-31; and a “She’s Got the Look” ‘80s Fashion Exhibit, featuring more than 50 looks inspired by the 1980s, from March 5-April 3.
