Apply to Be an Addison Community Partners Liaison

Did you know that the Addison City Council selects residents to represent the Town of Addison with its Community Partners (nonprofit organizations) every year? If you are interested in serving as an Addison Community Partners Liaison, then apply online before Jan. 18!

The Community Partners Bureau is comprised of resident appointed by the Council to represent the Town of Addison with its Community Partners. The Council will be considering appointments to serve as a liaison to the following organizations:

  • The Family Place, which has been helping victims of family violence in North Texas since 1978. They provide everything needed to help victims become survivors.
  • Dallas Cat Lady, which has been working since 2006 to find good homes for cats and kittens. They work with local shelters to give cats and kittens more time to find just the right home. So far, they have placed move than 3,000 cats and kittens with new families.
  • Metrocare Services, which is a large-scale, premier mental, physical and emotional health provider in North Texas.
  • Metrocrest Services, which is focused on assisting families, individuals and senior adults who are coping with crisis situations, need help stabilizing their lives or who require support to live independently. The organization’s basic services include rent and utility bill aid, financial and budgeting assistance, and food. They also provide employment counseling, gas cards or bus vouchers for jobseekers and transportation, minor home repairs, home-delivered meals to seniors and more.
