Salty French fries, greasy hamburgers, sweet milkshakes — it’s a classic fast food dinner. Generally, it’s nice to stay away from these types of meals too often (if you want a healthy heart), but if you are looking for an excuse to indulge in this delicious meal, then mark your calendar for National Fast Food Day on Nov. 16! Keep reading for a few of my favorite places to eat fast food, right here in Addison.
Chick-fil-A is a go-to for my family. From their fried chicken sandwiches to their grilled cool wraps (and, of course, their amazing waffle fries!), everything on the menu is delicious! When you go, be sure to try their seasonal chicken tortilla soup, made with shredded chicken, navy and black beans, vegetables and spicy seasoning, topped with corn tortilla strips. It’s perfect for a cold evening!
Call ahead to order or get delivery via Uber Eats for Zoli’s NY Pizza. This cheesy, flavorful pizza brings together New York-style pizza with genuine Italian food for a mouthwatering meal you will absolutely enjoy every single bite of. Try the Christian Pescroni, made with tomato sauce, double pepperoni and jalapeno pesto; the Brian Luscher, topped with sausage ragu and creamy ricotta; or the NY White, loaded with mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, olive oil and a sesame seed crust.
Burgers are a fast food staple, and you can’t go wrong with Burger House in Addison. The restaurant has been perfecting their award-winning burgers since they opened in 1951, and they continue to sell amazing burgers, crispy fries, real shakes and malts. You can also get chili cheese fries, grilled cheese, grilled chicken salads, and real vanilla Coke.
If you want to stay healthy while celebrating National Fast Food Day (totally get it), then head to Salata in Addison instead. Choose a salad or a wrap, then pile your choice of over 50 fresh ingredients on top. Top with your favorite dressing, and you’re good to go! It’s a perfect healthy choice for when you’re on the go.
