Scary Delicious Desserts in Addison

Summer is over and that summer bod can be put away for the foreseeable future. It’s time to enjoy desserts! And today’s menu features some…scary…good desserts! Sorry, bad “dad joke.” Nevertheless, these are delicious desserts available now right here in Addison!

Creamistry at the Village on the Parkway carries a selection of vegan, dairy-free, and organic ice cream. During this Fall season, try their Pumpkin Pie Creation! It is made with pumpkin spice-infused ice cream with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spices. Always fresh and made to order, and of course, delicious.

Lazy Dog has one of my favorite desserts of all time. Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This is one of those “I could eat this every day” types of dishes. Lazy Dog’s Pineapple upside-down cake is made with house-made buttermilk, rum and vanilla cake baked with brown sugar, fresh pineapple and maraschino cherries, and served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Scary good!

12 Cuts Brazilian Steakhouse offers a unique dining experience. Combining Brazilian and Argentinian cuisines to bring delicious cuts of meats grilled to perfection, you simply have to experience dinner here. But you cannot forget about their desserts! Try their Tres Leches Cake, which has been a staple at the Camacho house for as long as I can remember. Tres Leches is a cake soaked in three types of milk and then topped with vanilla mousse and salted caramel dulce de leche. It’s soft and moist and perfectly pairs with a delicious cup of coffee.

Create your own dessert at SweetFrog on Belt Line just east of Marsh Lane. Choose your flavors and toppings to come up with a unique dessert! Fresh fruit, crumbled chocolate bars like Butterfinger, M&M’s, Kit Kat’s, cereals, and more! This is your chance to create a dessert that’s completely yours!
