Addison Athletic Club Hosts Candy Drive-Thru

Looking for a safe way to trick-or-treat with your kids this year? The Addison Athletic Club is hosting a Spooktacular Candy Drive-Thru from 6:30-8 p.m. today, Oct. 23 – and you’re invited!

According to a recent press release, “The Addison Athletic Club invites Addison families to dress up in their Halloween costumes and join them for a Spooktacular Candy Drive-Thru…Staff will distribute prepackaged treat bags (while supplies last!) to all the little ghosts and goblins during this family-friendly, socially distanced, drive-thru event in the pool parking lot.”

During the event, all residents must remain in their vehicles. No walk-throughs will be allowed. However, you can simply roll down your windows and let your little sweeties hold out their trick-or-treat bags to collect goodies!

Additionally, the Addison Athletic Club staff will collect canned goods to benefit Metrocrest Services during the event. So, be sure to bring some help feed people going hungry this time of year!

Metrocrest Services assists individuals living in Addison, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Coppell and the city of Dallas in Denton County. Last year, they provided assistance to 14,153 adults, children and seniors; gave 916,960 meals to people; helped 703 families avoid eviction; gave financial literacy courses to 1,524 households; donated school supplies to 1,357 students; gave holiday gifts and food to 2,571 children; gave 113,990  meals to 1,647 students; and provided 17,277 transportation rides, home delivered meals and home repairs to seniors.

Just because Halloween looks different this year, doesn’t mean you have to skip trick-or-treating. Have fun, be safe and enjoy this wonderful drive-thru event!
