There’s good news for North Dallas Corridor residents and beyond who feel like they have symptoms of COVID-19: Dallas Medical Center now offers rapid-results COVID-19 drive-up testing! You can find out their status in about 15 minutes. They are located in Farmers Branch, on the northeast corner of I-635 and Webb Chapel Road.
The testing process is simple. First, call to make an appointment. Then, drive to the hospital and park in any of the available testing spots. Once you are there, call the number on the sign to let them know you have arrived. Staff will verify your information over the phone, then come out to collect your sample. About 15 minutes later you will have your results – without ever leaving the comfort of your car!
Testing is offered Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and will be performed outside their medical plaza facing Webb Chapel Road, at 1 Medical Parkway, Dallas, TX 75234. If you are interested, you must call 972-247-5464 to make an appointment. Testing is covered by most insurance, but staff will be happy to check your coverage when you call for your appointment. For those not using insurance or without insurance, the hospital is offering a flat cash rate of $100.
As a reminder, the CDC recommends that if you test positive, you isolate at home to stop the virus from spreading to other people.
