When COVID-19 began spreading in the U.S. this spring, Guaranty Bank & Trust was one of many Addison-based businesses to shut its doors in attempt to stop the spread. Now, they have implemented several new safety procedures to ensure clients and employees are remaining safe during the ongoing pandemic. Also, Guaranty Bank has supported the communities hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic through contributions totaling over $220,000 to local charities that are on the front lines.
“The impacts of COVID-19 continue to affect our communities, but our priorities have not wavered,” said Ty Abston, CEO of Guaranty Bank, in a recent press release. “We continue to provide uninterrupted service to our customers, while supporting and providing a safe work environment for our employees.”
Although Guaranty Bank opened some of its lobbies on June 1, they decided to move to an appointment-only format beginning July 13. Customers can make appointments by calling their location or 888-572-9881 to schedule a time to come by. Masks will be required to enter lobbies during appointment times, and drive-thrus will remain open.
Additionally, employees are wearing face masks and offering hand sanitizer in the lobby for you to use during your appointment. They are also practicing enhanced cleaning procedures and frequent disinfectant of high-contact surfaces, utilizing social distancing procedures for employees, conducting temperature screening on employees and encouraging employees to follow CDC-recommended hand washing procedures.
“For customers who prefer to bank from locations other than our lobbies, our technology investments over the past several years provide easy and convenient access to your account information through online or mobile banking,” added Abston. “I am proud to say that Guaranty’s digital banking capabilities are on par with some of the largest banks in the country. You can also open a new deposit account in fewer than 10 minutes online or request a video conference with one of our bankers.”
You can now open a checking or saving account, money market or 12-month CD online; meet with your banker via Zoom; and participate in free online banking with bill pay and free mobile banking as an easy and secure way to access and manage your bank accounts. If you don’t have the app, you can text GBTAPP to 313131 to receive a link to download the app.
“As in the past, Guaranty will continue to stand by our communities and customers during this unprecedented event,” said Abston. “We have always managed our bank with the goal to maintain the necessary strength and stability to weather any storm. There will no doubt be continued challenging days ahead, but there is no doubt that better days lie ahead as well.”
