Celebrate International Day of Friendship

blankJuly 30 is International Day of Friendship, a day to celebrate your relationships with your closest pals. Of course you’re grateful for your friends every day of the year, but taking the special time to acknowledge your friendship is important. Whether you’ll be able to physically see your friends for the occasion or not, there are still plenty of fun ways to enjoy the day, right here in Addison.

Have a Watch Party

Movie nights are a great way to bond with friends. Invite a few of them over or use Netflix Party to watch a classic romantic comedy or buddy movie. With streaming, there’s no doubt that you’ll find a movie that everyone will enjoy. Uptown Girls and Sex and the City on HBO Max are good options. On Netflix, Sleepless in Seattle and the very binge-able series “Dead to Me” are available.

Retail Therapy

There are few things that are more fun than shopping with your friends. Stop by the Village on the Parkway or Galleria Dallas with your bestie and get some matching jewelry, like these earrings from Francesca’s

Get Some Food

Sharing a meal is a great opportunity to catch up and spend time with a friend. Addison has plenty of good spots to grab a bite to eat, including places like Snuffers, Lazy Dog and Thai Star.

See a Show

Addison Improv is still featuring shows from some amazing comedians that you and your friends can go see. There’s even a show on Thursday – comedian Pablo Francisco is taking the stage at 8 p.m. Laughing together would be the perfect way to close out International Friendship Day.
