While going to the eye doctor used to be routine for many of us, it has been on the backburner in recent weeks to stop the community spread of COVID-19. However, Premier Vision of Dallas has been continuously serving patients’ eye emergencies and will be re-opening safely on May 1 for all routine patient care.

“We are here for our patients,” said Dr. Karen Allen, therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist at Premier Vision of Dallas. “We are seeing eye emergencies to keep them out of the ER and hospitals. We are changing our cleaning protocols to include UV light sanitation of our rooms as well as our frames. When our office re-opens for routine care, we will be spacing patients further apart to give more time for cleaning and less people in the office. At Premier Vision, we are glad to be a part of the Addison community and want to support our patients and fellow businesses as much as possible.”

Premier Vision of Dallas will be re-opening to routine patient care on May 1 on a limited basis to provide social distancing. This is in accordance to Gov. Abbott recent announcement that Texas will be following a Phase 1 re-opening plan and ending shelter-in-place orders on Friday. All of Premier Vision of Dallas’s services will be available.

“My staff and I are proud of providing excellence in eye care, eyeglasses and contact lenses and truly care about our patients and their vision,” added Dr. Allen.

Premier Vision of Dallas is a new optometric office located in the heart of Addison at 16479 Dallas Parkway, suite 475. Their goal is to provide outstanding vision and eyewear services in a warm and inviting environment. They offer full service optical, contact lens services and comprehensive eye car. The office is run by Dr. Allen, who provides precise and clear prescriptions for glasses and contacts as well as treats eye problems like pink eye and sty’s, dry eye and glaucoma. She has been practicing optometry since 2001, from the VA clinic to a large LASIK center, in large private practices and small offices and national optical chains. She started Premier Vision of Dallas in order to “bring all the good ideas from these different practices together to offer a patient centered experience to residents here in the Dallas area.”

Thanks to everyone at Premier Vision of Dallas who have been working hard to take care of the community’s eye care needs!
