Feeling hungry? Make it dinner and a game night by participating in #AddisonEats Bingo, the latest initiative launched by the Town of Addison to support its more than 180 restaurants during the COVID-19 crisis.
This fun game features 25 squares, each one showcasing specific cuisines or other foodie tasks. When a square is filled, participants take a picture and post it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, tag @VisitAddison, or save their receipts. One purchase fills one square. When you get bingo – meaning you have marked off five squares in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally – you’ll win two tickets to Addison Oktoberfest, taking place Sept. 17-20, 2020. All #AddisonEats Bingo winners will also be entered into a drawing for an Addison Staycation at one of the town’s 23 hotels.
“With more than 180 restaurants in our 4.4 square miles, we feel it’s very important for Addison to support and promote our restaurant business,” said Mary Rosenbleeth, public communications director for the town, in a recent press release. “In addition to the Bingo game, we’ve created billboards reminding passersby of our restaurants and how important it is to support them during this time.”
Some of the bingo options include breakfast foods, Cajun, meal kits, coffee, Italian, cocktails, salad, Tex-Mex, steak, chicken, seafood, wine, burgers and more. This is a great way to make mealtimes fun, while supporting the local economy at the same time. There are many restaurants open right now for takeout, curbside delivery or home delivery through Uber Eats, Door Dash, Favor and Grubhub. You can also support your favorite restaurants by purchasing gift cards to be used when the restaurant opens again.
Bingo cards may be downloaded from VisitAddison.com. Post photos of your food or the restaurant and tag @VisitAddison on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to play. The game runs from April 23 to May 31.
