Spring Hair Trends

Luscious waves, pastel colors and headbands are back this season. Your hair should match the fresh, beautiful and natural season of spring over the next few months. By utilizing a few products from the North Dallas Corridor – and booking a hair appointment at local places like Grand Spa – your hair will be looking its best in no time!

Brightly Colored Hair

Think like a mermaid this season – colorful hair color is in! Go for pink, purple, blue or green (or all at once if you are really feeling bold) for a fun look that is prettier than the tulips blooming all around you. For an easy, at-home option, get the Good Dye Young semi-permanent hair color ($18 each from Sephora). It comes in eight different colors – from hot pink to neon yellow to lime green to bold orange and more – and is made with nourishing essential oils so your hair is fresh and colorful! For a more permanent option (or if you are wanting to exactly copy a color from Instagram), go to Grand Spa and book a single process color starting at $80. Simply show the stylist what you want, and she will mix products to come up with the perfect combination for your hair.

Conditioned Hair

Turns out, squirting some conditioner in your hair every other shower is not enough to build healthy, breakage-free hair. This season’s biggest hair trend is taking care of your mane with a little extra hydration! Try the Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut and Fig Hair Masque ($49.90 at Ulta). This highly concentrated, deep conditioning hair treatment is infused with coconut, fig, shea butter, linseed and argan oil to strengthen dry hair, repair hair, restore hair, tame frizz and hydrate your tresses from root to tip.

Accessorized Hair

Adding accessories to your hair should feel as natural as putting on earrings. And it looks so glamorous when you’re done! One of this spring’s biggest things right now is the hatband (AKA, anything Blair Waldorf wore in “Gossip Girl”). This is a thick headband, usually with a knot on top, that looks exquisite on top any head. I love this pretty floral one ($18 from Francesca’s), which is white with soft pink and green flowers. You also can’t go wrong with this ivory one ($16 from Francesca’s), which is covered in sparkly gems. Wear to dress up a casual outfit or complement a going-out look.
