Showcase your talent and win cool prizes in the DART 2020 Student Art Contest! This fun, annual event is a chance for students in K-12 to create original artwork and compete for a chance to have their art on DART buses and trains, plus cash and other prizes. Students must enter by Feb. 28, 2020.
The DART 2020 Student Art Contest is open to public school, private school and home-schooled students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The designs must be original work by the student and should illustrate the theme “Paint the Town ____. Ride Dart.” You fill in the blank! One entry is allowed per student (no group entries are allowed).
There are so many possibilities. Choose your favorite rail line color. Go Green for the environment. Choose a word or color you like – you can paint the town “fun,” “adventurous,” “silver” or anything else. For inspiration, check out last year’s winners here or explore all the places DART goes here.
All designs must measure 11” high by 17” wide and be laid out horizontally. High school students can now submit their entry online, which must be submitted by 11:9 p.m. Feb. 28 at dart.org/artcontest. Furthermore, each entry must have the student’s name, email, grade level, school name, school address, teacher’s name, email, phone number, parent’s name, email and phone number easily viewed on the back. For the full list of rules, click here.
DART will notify winners by March 11. Artwork becomes the property of DART and may be used with appropriate credit to the artist. By entering, contestants consent to have their name and photograph appear as one of the winners. For more information, contact Jessica D. Lennon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 214-749-2582.
Good luck to all the students entering this exciting, creative contest! We hope to see your drawing on the side of an Addison DART bus!
