Pretty Winter Nails

Stepping into a nail salon, my body instantly starts to relax – I love getting new colors every season. From throwing snowballs to sipping hot chocolate, wrapping up in a warm sweater at home or going out on the town, everything is more fun with the right nails! Get them done at a local salon, like Grand Spa, or shop at a Corridor-based store and do them yourself at home. Keep reading for a few of my favorite winter nail ideas to try this month!

Pale Pink

Full disclosure: My nails are a pale pink right now. This color is so great, because it’s a soft neutral in keeping with the season’s trends, but it also gives a spark of color and life to your hands (win-win!). I like the Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro Nail Polish in Naked ($20 from Sephora) . This glossy polish helps give each nail a smooth application, so you can look salon-done even when you are short on time.

Metallics

Shimmery, metallic colors are in right now. They give a healthy sparkle to an otherwise dark wardrobe – and they just look really cool too. Go for the Nails Inc. Unicorn Nail Polish Duo ($15 from Sephora), which come with two amazing colors. Dream Dust is a gorgeous 3D sparkle color, whereas Rainbow Wishes is a soft, multi-colored sheen.

Dark Colors

Of course, no winter manicure is complete without adding dark colors in the mix! I love the Love-Fate Relationship (cherry red) or the Don’t Be Choco-Late (creamy brown) that come in the Essie Valentine’s Day 2020 Collection ($9 each from Ulta). These rich colors are strikingly beautiful, and your nails will look amazing whether you’re in a red dress on Valentine’s Day or in a blazer at work.
