Hairstyles for the Office

blankIf your mornings are anything like mine, then you know how hard it is to get out the door during the week. It’s easy to master doing your mascara at stoplights on the way to work, or picking out the perfect outfit the night before, but messy hair is a dead giveaway to how much you overslept this morning! Check out our tips for quick-and-easy hairstyles that will look great in your office in the Corridor—and can even be done in your work restroom, if necessary!

Half-Up Twist

If you are looking for beautiful and simple, this is the way to go! Just take two strands of hair on one side of your face, and twist them around each other above your ear. Secure with a bobby pin once the twist reaches the center of your head and let the remaining hair hang down. Repeat on other side. When the two sides come together in the middle, you can either leave them both pinned or unpin them and secure with an elastic.

Braided High Bun

For days when a messy bun is too…well, messy, this braided bun is a perfect substitution. Flip your head upside down; then brush it out. Start at the nape of your neck, and separate hair into three strands. From here, do a reverse French braid, going from the bottom of your head to the top (being upside helps with this). When you reach the top of your head, gather the rest of your hair together and tie it with an elastic. From there, wrap the hair in the ponytail around the elastic into a bun and secure with a bobby pin. It’s a beautiful update on a regular bun that looks normal in the front and unique in the back!

Low Chignon

This look is elegant—and super easy to do! Put your hair in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Then separate the hair into two sections with your fingers. Take the tail of your ponytail and flip it through the center of the separated hair and pull down. Flip it around a few times, which will create a pretty twist on each side of the elastic. Once you have flipped it through many times, pin the end of the ponytail under, creating a gorgeous low chignon, perfect for long days at the office followed by an event or happy hour!
