National Bacon Day is Dec. 30, and I cannot think of a better way to wrap up the year than celebrating bacon. Think about it, bacon on a burger? Delicious. Bacon on your breakfast plate? The best way to start the day. Candy bacon? Yes, let me fill up my Halloween bag with it, please. A bouquet of bacon roses? The most romantic show of affection you can give anyone.
Let’s face it, bacon makes everything better.
As you can probably tell by now, I love bacon. If there’s bacon on the menu, please believe I will be ordering it.
So, “How should we celebrate National Bacon Day,” you ask? Let me give you some tips.
Start out the day at Snooze an A.M. Eatery with their Everything Bacon Sensation, “Everything spice brioche bun smeared with green goddess cream cheese topped with an over medium cage-free egg, bacon and citronette dressed arugula.”
If you are looking for a delicious juicy bacon burger, try out Snuffer’s Dr Pepper BBQ Bacon burger. Dr Pepper-infused BBQ sauce and Applewood smoked bacon along with cheese, pickles, diced red onions and of course, crispy bacon crumbles. That’s right, two helpings of bacon! If you are looking for an appetizer, try their Original Cheddar Fries and add bacon. They pour a very generous helping of crumbled bacon on top of the fries to make this a delicious shareable dish.
At Texas de Brazil, as part of their 17 cuts of meat, you can delight your palate with their chicken breast wrapped in bacon and filet mignon wrapped in bacon. That’s how delicious bacon is, it makes filet mignon, a delicious cut of meat, even better!
If you are a hopeless romantic like myself (my wife can attest to this, insert smiley emoji), roses are a big part of how you let your spouse or partner know you are thinking of them. But, giving them a bouquet of bacon roses lets them know you love them so much that you would share bacon with them. Whether you order online and have them delivered by BaconBouquets.com, or if you are brave enough to make them yourself, I can’t think of a better way to say “I love you” than a bouquet of bacon roses.
How will you celebrate National Bacon Day?
