Best Products for Soft Curls

If your hair is anything like mine, it is a bit of a challenge to get the perfect soft-curl look. My hair is straight and needs a lot of time and product to get the curls that I want. However, there are certain products I have found that, in addition to being well-reviewed, are reasonably priced as well. Luckily, they are all available in the North Dallas Corridor!

Best Leave-In Conditioner: Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Leave-In Conditioner, Target.com – $10

Available at Target, celebrity hairstylist Kristin Ess has an exclusive line of high-quality, affordable hair products. Her leave-in conditioner can be sprayed in wet hair up to 10 times – yeah, it’s that light – that will leave your hair soft and stylish without having the heavy feeling of thickness and toughness of other products.

Best Oil: Bumble and Bumble Bb. Curl Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil, Sephora.com – $30

This gel-oil hybrid has a fresh, bouncy and jelly-like texture that helps give soft curls hold without feeling heavy. This product won’t weigh your hair down and it won’t make it feel greasy. Its long-lasting moisture is due to a blend of humectants. Apply the product to your hair by warming it up in your hands and then using your fingers to rake it through damp curls, using it sparingly around your roots.

Best Styling Cream: DevaCurl Styling Cream, Sephora.com – $28

This particular cream works on all types of hair conditions and curl types while effectively doing its job. It helps your hair retain its shape, gives locks great movement and body, and ward off humidity and frizz. The cream, botanical-rich formula includes tapioca starch and jojoba oil.
