Lupe Tortilla is one of Addison’s newest restaurants. Founded in Addicks, TX in 1983, their vision was to provide excellent food and service to their guests with their unique style of Mexican food. Over the years they have been able to expand to over 20 locations with Addison being one of their newest ones.
While they are well-known for their made from scratch food, they are also known for participating in different charity events. One such event is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation website, “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease.” One of the organization’s top priorities is to educate women on what they can do to be proactive with their breast health.
Lupe Tortilla is joining thousands of others who are getting involved in raising awareness. This is why they have created the Pink Ribbon Glitter ‘Rita. It’s a special margarita available all month for guests to enjoy. According to a press release by Lupe Tortilla, “The tasty, hand-shaken cocktail is made with fresh strawberries and lime juice, Avion Blanco tequila spiked with edible glitter and Cointreau.” Certainly, a delicious way to get involved and donate toward finding a cure for breast cancer. With the Pink Ribbon Glitter ‘Rita, Lupe Tortilla will be donating $1 from every cocktail to the San Jose Clinic, which helps provide quality health care and education to those with limited access to such services.
