Colorful pottery. Handmade jewelry. Artwork so unique, you’ll love hanging it in your home. All of these and more can be found at the Addison Craft Fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Addison Athletic Club!
Addison residents will be selling their handmade goodies inside the basketball gym at the Addison Athletic Club. Although only Addison residents can sell their stuff, anyone can shop – so invite your friends, coworkers, neighbors and everyone else you see to stop by!
It’s $10 to participate, and one table space will be provided per resident. If you want to sign up, register at the front desk of the Athletic Club (at 3900 Beltway Drive) or contact Deena Israel at 972-450-7048 for more information.
The Addison Athletic Club offers a wide variety of recreation and fitness opportunities for Addison residents of all ages. They have about 3,600 members with about 400 participating on its busiest days, and special programs and events held throughout the year.
Other upcoming events include the Addison Senior Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 21, where guests ages 50 and up can enjoy a tasty event with friends; Book Club on the first Monday of the month, where anyone 18 and older can come by to read books and discuss themes; and a Parent’s Night Out on Nov. 1, where mom and dad can score some alone time while kids ages 3-12 are entertained with pizza, games and activities.
Of course, the Addison Athletic Club is also a great place to work out. In addition to the weights and machines available for members to use, you can also sign up for a variety of fitness classes. These include yoga, boxing, aerobics, dance, spin, water trim and more. The full fall 2019 activity guide is available here.
So, bring your friends and get out next weekend, get crafty and have fun meeting residents and shopping for early Christmas presents!
