Classic American Dishes in the Area

Today we are talking about traditional American dishes. From burgers to waffles to biscuits and everything in between, we are diving into delicious dishes today.

The top spot for most common American food is probably Burgers or Pizza, depending on who you ask. Let’s start with Pizza. Whether you are watching football with your buddies, kids birthday party, movie night at home or simply wanting to get something quick and easy. Pizza is always clutch. For authentic Chicago style deep-dish, try Taste of Chicago on Midway. Choose your toppings like Italian sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, black olives and more.

If you are a fan of the New York style pies, try Bacci’s Pizza & Pasta. Bacci’s is family owned and operated and serves real, authentic New York style pizza. They have lots of lunch specials and you can order pizza by the slice!

Addison is home to some of the best burgers around. Snuffer’s on Belt Line has been an Addison staple for a long time. My favorite is the Dr Pepper BBQ Bacon Burger. It’s made with Dr. Pepper-infused BBQ sauce, American cheese, pickles, diced red onions, mayo, applewood smoked bacon strips and lots of crispy bacon crumbles. If you are keeping count, that is two counts of bacon!

Burger House has been around for over 60 years. Serving tasty burgers, crispy seasoned fries and more, Burger House is a must. Make sure to check out the wall of fame and check out the guy that ate a 15-meat 15 cheeseburger!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and in Addison, there are plenty of places to choose from and rotate. Snooze A.M. has put a creative spin into the classic American breakfast. Their menu features pancakes in all sorts of flavors as well as a variety of classic breakfast dishes.

Waffle House. Don’t overlook this classic American establishment. They have been serving local communities throughout the country for over 60 years. Try the All-Star Special, you get a classic Waffle House waffle, two eggs, grits, toast and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham.
