Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Corridor

If leprechauns were real, they wouldn’t be found at the end of the rainbow this weekend – they would be having a good time at a St. Patrick’s Day party in the Corridor! Although the big day is on Sunday this year, people will be dressing in green and celebrating Irish culture all weekend long. Find drink specials, delicious food and a sea of green party goers at several pubs and bars in town. You don’t need the luck of the Irish to know where to go – we’ve compiled a list of the must-see places (no blarney!) to find green beer and specials. Now all you have to worry about is having a good time – and trying not to get pinched!

The Back 9

It’s Sunday Funday at the Back 9, which is hosting a St. Patty’s Day party from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Listen to a lineup of live music from 2-9 p.m. featuring Todd Stewart, Warren Dunlevy and Outta Nowhere; DJ Eddie Black from 6-10 p.m. and DJ Reeewind from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. In addition, enjoy fun activities all day while drinking $3 green beer, $5 Jameson and $7 Shepperd’s Pie.

Duke’s Icehouse

In the mood for fun and games? This Sunday, Duke’s Icehouse is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Fun party, beginning at 11 a.m.! You can play corn hold, pool, darts and jump on a huge, blow-up Velcro wall! Drink specials are available for everyone, including a $4 Crown and Down and $2 Jello shots.

Malarkey’s Irish Tavern

Ireland is celebrated year-round at Malarkey’s Irish Tavern, but especially on St. Patrick’s Day! Try two themed drinks this weekend: the McLuvin, which is made with vodka, rum, gin, triple sec, melon liqueur, Sprite, sweet ‘n’ sour and a splash of pineapple, with a cute, red-bearded duck floating on top that you can keep; and the Paddy’s Ginger Punch, made with Paddy’s Irish Whiskey, cranberry juice and ginger beer and served in an adorable leprechaun cup that you can keep.

The Londoner

The Stoneleighs, a special Rolling Stones tribute band, will kick off St. Patrick’s Day Weekend on Friday night from 9 p.m.-midnight at the Londoner. All weekend long, you can enjoy special drink specials, Jello shots and green beer, as well as corned beef, potato pie and Guinness stew. Just show up wearing green and ready to have a good time!

Plucker’s Wing Bar

Enjoy $3 green beers all day on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m., at Plucker’s Wing Bar. Later, party with your friends as a live DJ entertains the crowd from noon-3 p.m. If you get hungry, fill up on whatever flavor of hot wings your heart desires, which pairs well with even more green beer.

Ra Sushi

They may be known for their delicious sushi, but RA also serves up delicious Paddy’s Day drink specials! Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can get Green Hot Sake for $1; a Jameson shot, a 22 oz. Kirin or Kirin Light for $5; a Lucky Margarita, Green Dragon Bomb or an Irish Mule for $6; or an Irish Mule Pitcher or Lucky Margarita Punch Bowl for $20. When there is something for everyone (and amazing prices!), drinking with friends has never been easier!

Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub

Drinking will begin at 11 a.m. March 17 at Sherlock’s Baker St. Pub, as they are hosting a party inside and outside in a tent until 2 a.m. Fill your glass with green beer or Guinness and just hang out until Joseph Veazie and Steven Shedd perform live music indoors from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Later, Bagpiper Peter Bailey will go on from 8:30-9:30 p.m. and Empire Theft will take the stage from 9:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. In the tent, a DJ will spin tunes from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. and a caricature artist, Benjamin Vincent, will draw funny pictures for attendees in the Game Room from 8 p.m.-midnight. There’s no cover charge at this fun event, so you can spend more of your gold coins (or regular cash or credit cards) on beer.

Union Park Addison

March 16 is officially St. Littly’s Day at Union Park Addison, because this party is going to get lit! From 3-8 p.m., DJ IE and DJ Reese will be playing your favorite music that you can dance to, Irish jig not required. In addition, Union Park will be serving green beer, Jameson and other Irish-themed drinks and appetizers all day long.

Yard House

Not only is Yard House serving up amazing Irish-themed food – corned beef egg rolls anyone? – but also, they have a nice selection of cocktails and beers to try this St. Patrick’s Day. The Dublin Mule is made with ginger beer and fresh mint, and the Jameson Margarita is mixed with Jameson Caskmates stout, triple sec, citrus agave and fresh lime. You can also order a tall glass of Guinness or Guinness Blonde, or a pint of beer mixed with a spirit: Jameson Caskmates IPA with Guinness Blonde or Jameson Caskmates Stout with Guinness Stout. It’ll be the best time you’ve had this side of Ireland!
