Wearing green is fun on St. Patrick’s Day, but the best way to celebrate the holiday is with delicious Irish grub. Many restaurants in town are channeling the spirit of Ireland this weekend with special menu items that will make you feel like you are dining on the Emerald Isle! Here are a few of our favorites.
Treat yourself to the most delicious version of Shepherd’s Pie you’ve ever had at Hopdoddy Burger Bar this week! The Dubliner burger is a “Lamb Pie,” seasoned with onion and spices and cooked with a warm red center. It is sandwiched between The Veg (peas, carrots and mushrooms) and The Mash (white cheddar potatoes and a parsley aioli). Wash it down with an ice-cold glass of Guinness to truly get into the holiday spirit!
The Londoner is turning Irish this weekend, as they will be serving a special menu of corned beef, potato pie and Guinness stew all weekend long. Complete your meal with green beer and raise your glass for a colorful cheers!
This pub will be serving traditional corned beef during their St. Patrick’s Day Party from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. March 17, as well as green beer. Can’t make it to the event? You can always find Irish favorites on the menu here, like Shepherd’s Pie made with seasoned ground sirloin, green peas, cheddar cheese and whipped potatoes and topped with a baked tomato.
The Pub Fare menu at Yard House is filled with Irish-inspired dishes to whet your appetite this weekend. Choices include Whiskey Black Pepper Wings; Corned Beef Egg Rolls, made with shredded corned beef, cabbage and swiss with Dijon aioli dipping sauce; Shepherd’s Pie and Mash, featuring ground lamb simmered in stout beer with herbs, peas and potatoes and baked inside a flaky pastry crust with a topping of parmesan mashed potatoes; Grilled Guinness Cheddar and Braised Beef Melt; and Whiskey Glazed Salmon served with kale, cabbage and bacon mashed potatoes.
