Local Artist Jun Hao at Southwest Gallery

“Remnants of Spring”

Local artist Jun Hao is sharing his refined technique through his exhibition, “A Journey Through The Seasons” at Southwest Gallery. Jun Hao is referred to by many in the industry as a “master at capturing the essence of Spring and the tranquility of fall.”


Southwest Gallery will host a “meet the artist” reception Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. They will serve light hors d’oeuvre’s and refreshments during this event. Guests will be able to admire Hao’s paintings as well as a chance to meet him. There are over 20 new realistic paintings on display, all of which will take you on a journey through the seasons. This exhibition will continue through March.


According to his bio, Jun Hao received his BFA from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in Tianjin, China in 1991. He majored in Industrial Design including Product Modeling Design. Hao has received various awards and recognitions throughout his career including the Award of Excellent Design at the Asia-Pacific Petrochemical Exhibition in Tianjin, China.


Southwest Gallery has provided the area’s largest collection of fine 19th to 21st-century paintings and sculptures for over 50 years. They exhibit hundreds of artists working on a broad range of styles. Southwest Gallery family includes Kittrell/Riffkind as well as a large framing department. They are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is necessary, and you can view the gallery at no charge.
