The AAF (American Advertising Federation) Dallas hosted their monthly happy hour March 28 at Lazy Dog in Village on the Parkway in Addison. The monthly meeting is a way for people to network with advertising and media professionals, especially those working at the many companies in the North Dallas Corridor. According to Monica Sales, AAF Dallas Happy Hour Chair, “We had several new faces at the April Happy Hour and certainly met our goal to connect with our members and the community.”

Spring is in full bloom and everyone loves being outside to enjoy the beautiful weather, and the AAF used this opportunity to partner with Lazy Dog to use its large and accommodating patio space for the event.

The twist for this past event was to take advantage of the fact that Lazy Dog welcomes dogs (in fact, Lazy Dog even has a special menu for them!) and as Monica mentioned, “We thought it would be fun to take advantage of this and have attendees bring their four-legged friends.” Monica went on to say, “It was great to meet everyone’s four-legged friends, and the dogs were an excellent ice-breaker to get conversations started.”

Although this was their first dog-friendly event, they are open to suggestions as to other networking events where they can include their furry friends. Who doesn’t love being able to enjoy an afternoon hanging out on a great patio enjoying the weather with their dogs, right? When you couple that with the opportunity to meet other professionals in your field and form business relationships, you have the recipe for a great time.
