“It All Comes Together” today for Addison as the city unveiled its new logo earlier this morning at Whole Foods Addison. City leaders gathered together for the unveiling to introduce Addison’s new logo to business leaders, visitors and residents alike. The logo, which features the word “ADDISON” in a blue circle, rolls out the new branding look for the North Texas community.
The new look is “very authentic to who Addison is at the core – it has a nod to the past – but has an easy to read, vibrant, sophisticated design ideal for the present and the future,” said Carrie Rice, Director of Marketing and Communications for Addison.
The city’s new, clean look was developed and selected through a 12-month process involving nearly 4,000 people including surveys and focus groups with business leaders, residents and visitors along with the City Council members and employees. Dallas agencies Vivanti Group and Matchbox Studio led the redesign to the current sophisticated blue circular logo it is today. “It All Comes Together” is the city’s new tagline, bringing together the old and new, and residents, businesses and visitors alike.

As Addison just celebrated its 60th anniversary, Addison’s new logo mirrored the up-and-coming feel the city is experiencing with its new developments, such as Vitruvian Park, and the Village on the Parkway reinvention. It only seemed fitting to hold the event at the Whole Foods Addison, which just opened last summer. The rebranding was a time to bring in the established community, which bodes Fortune 500 companies like Mary Kay, USAA and Credera, together with the new development in the city.
“Addison celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2013 and we felt strongly that this was the right time to rebrand our vibrant community,” said Addison Mayor Todd Meier. “With so many new businesses, real estate developments and our population growth, we wanted to ensure the face of our community reflected the modern progressive place Addison is today without losing our friendly, welcoming, fun, tight-knit legacy.”
Addison’s new logo will first be implemented in communications materials, municipal fleet vehicles and uniforms with more changes to come over the next days, months and years. Most notably, Addison’s iconic water tower will be repainted with the new logo over the next couple of years. Some of the city’s vehicles were present with Addison’s new logo at the event today.
