Happy 2014, everyone!

Now that we are officially living in a brand new year, it’s time to start planning those much-needed vacations. And though the Corridor is full of fun and exciting attractions and events, it’s always nice to visit new places.

Here are 14 places you need to visit in 2014. Whether it’s an ethereal island or a bustling city, we’ve included 14 awesome spots to put on your travel destination list this year. Enjoy!

Auckland, New Zealand

Visit the first major city to ring in the New Year every year! This superb travel destination features awesome beaches, four great wine districts and adventurous attractions.


This island country has been under embargo for decades, which makes it a wonderful travel destination for culture-seekers. Travel to a place where it looks like life stopped in the ’50s. See brightly-colored, dilapidated buildings, classic cars and dazzling beaches.


Take a legendary historic route, see ancient monasteries or go on a safari in this Eastern African country. Ethiopia is home to everything from ancient civilization to the Rastafari movement, making it the perfect destination for history buffs.
